Primark haul

Primark... One of the BEST shops on the highstreet known to man! You can buy anything from 7 pairs of socks for £1.70, to £1.00 nails/eyelashes and now HOME DECOR! Which is so dangerous as instead of leaving with just a couple of items, I now leave with an entire bag-full whenever I visit!

When I came back to uni, I happened to fall (voluntarily so) into Primark one day and ended up buying a few pieces that I just COULDN'T leave without. Rose gold is definitely still my thing, and it was h e a v e n when I went up to the home decor.

The first 2 pieces I picked up were these gorgeous rose gold/copper baskets! I'd actually seen something similar on pinterest and knew I wanted some for some storage. The bigger one was £5, and the smaller one was £3 and they're such a good fit to my room! The bigger one has all of my bathroom stuff in it (face wash, toothbrush etc) and the smaller one holds my makeup brushes and beauty blenders in. They're both such a good size, and a perfect addition for my home decor obsession.

The second 2 pieces I picked up I definitely had (not) on my list. My university room doesn't have much hanging space on the back of doors, so I needed some hooks anyway. When I saw Primark did them in this GORGEOUS colour, and I couldn't say no! And for £2 too! Insane. Although the only thing I would say is that I popped back a few days later to buy another 3 (because, why not!?) and the new set I bought were a totally different size? As in, the top that hangs over the door was thinner? I double and triple checked the packaging and nowhere does it say (that I could see) that the hooks were either "one size only" or different sizes. Unfortunately, I then couldn't return them as I had already unpackaged them to fit them onto my door! We have those fire safety doors in our flats, so maybe they didn't fit because the doors are thick? Who knows! But watch out for that slight inconvenience.

Now, this candle... I legit have no words. I'm already obsessed with ANYTHING vanilla flavoured/scented, so when I saw this massive candle for jut £5.00 I just HAD to put it in my basket (I also went back a few days later to buy the matching room spray & reed diffuser - but thats a different post!) as it smells I N S A N E. It's huge too! Although I can't actually light it, I can't wait to try it at some point! Plus the packaging is pretty cute right!?

Is a trip to Primark really a trip to Primark if you don't visit the beauty section? I mean... You can get SO much there! One of my New Year's resolutions is too look after my skin a bit more as I do have troublesome skin, and sometimes it can get neglected during busy times at work or university. Before Christmas I would normally just use a face wipe to take my make-up off (don't judge, a girl just couldn't be bothered sometimes) and it really wasn't helping with my skin. However, for Christmas I received the Soap & Glory box set from boots (it's amazing by the way!) and there's an awesome facial wash in there, hence the cleansing mitts. One side is slightly rough and the other side is towel-like material! I use the rougher side to apply the facial wash, then the towel side to rinse it off. I've seen such an improvement in my skin since adding this into my daily routine! And they're £2.00 for 2 - bargain!

And finally, every girl needs a hair turban! My hair is getting LONG now, and it gets super heavy when just wrapped up in a towel, which results in the towel just falling off my head (gals, you'll know the struggle!). I had a Soap & Glory hair turban a few years ago and it saved my life on a number of occasions! So when I saw Primark had one for £2.50, it went straight in my basket. This is definitely a beauty must-have for me!
